Examination Scheme
Lectures : 3hrs / week
Continuous evaluation: 40 marks
End Sem. Exam: 60 marks
Objectives: The goals for the course are to gain a facility with using the transform, both specific
techniques and general principles, and learning to recognize when, why, and how it is used.
Together with a great variety, the subject also has a great coherence, and the hope is students
come to appreciate both.

Outcomes
1. Students will be able to know the use of Laplace transform in system modeling, digital
signal processing, process control, solving Boundary Value Problems.
2. Students will be able to use Fourier transform in communication theory and signal
analysis, image processing and filters, data processing and analysis, solving partial
differential equations for problems on gravity.
3. Students will be able to use Z-transform in the characterization of Linear TimeInvariant system ( LTI ), in development of scientific simulation algorithms.
