SOCIAL SERVICES

BRAINSTORM
Social services are a team within the local authority made to provide insight into
the protection of children that may be in danger of emotional, physical or any
other forms of abuse either from parents and guardians or from being left
homeless or in hostile living conditions.
Social services have a statutory obligation to safe guard and promote the welfare
of vulnerable children and offer a wide range of services to the children and the
families. They will make home visits and conferences and review meetings will
commence after the report to put forward a case against the childs wellbeing.
