Pop Pass
Pop Pass
Demonstrate the pop pass to pupils using the teaching points and
cards.
Pupils stand opposite each other on their cones about a meter
away. (For now the colour of the cones does not matter).
Pupils practice the pop pass between their pair.
After 1-2 minutes practice, see how many passes pupils can get
in 30 seconds.
If pupils pass more times than the pair next to them they get to
move up to the next cone. Award points, for the teams that move up
more than 2 cones during this task.
Progressions:
Pupils can be encouraged to take a step away from their partner and
see how their movement changes to get the further distance.
What is this pass called?
Regressions:
Pupils refer to the teaching card again, ensure their hands are
positioned correctly.
Pupils move closer to each other.
Reduce the pressured time element for those struggling and
encourage pupils to get a certain number rather than as many as
they can.
