Noise And Politics

Jacques Atalli has a brilliant perspective towards music . He explain it like working of the world .
According to Atalli music is a kind of power . He can observe the politics side of music because this
emulating is clearly politic . Atalli says with noise is born disorder and its opposite , the world , with
music is born power and its opposite subversion . Before i read this text , for me noise is a just
unwanted sound from any sources but now i can clearly see that it is not just undesirable sound .
Also it represent fear , chaos and disorder . We can think a group which include order , power ,
music and the world and there is an opposite group which include disorder , noise , subversion .
There is an order in our lifes . For example , we are all wake up early and go to public transportation
in specific times . Then we go to class and we go back home at night . They are the daily routine of
students and this is in order . Maybe we can think that daily routines looks like the world because
both of them in order .

Another example is about disorder , when we are drive and listen music on radio sometimes
suddenly join a frequency sound like noise and it is so annoying for driver so this sound is in group
of disorder because this is a situation which should not be . We were talked about step of noise in
class . when we hear a noise first we ignore it then disturbed then suppress and then destroy , just
like change the radio . I can cleary see that there are similarities between music and running of the
world but i can not explain easily because sometimes i have inconsistencies in my brain . I think it
will develop with the help of more thinking .

Noise is not always untoward situation because it is in music . Actually it is root of the music.
Musicians knows how to deal with noise and turn it a music . Noise becomes sound with power of
human .
And there was a Metallica example in class , Metallica must compromise with Napster because
otherwise they would not sell their album . In this situation Napster look like noise for Metallica .
