How did forest rules affect their cultivation?

called as lading,in africa it is known as tavy,and in india its local terms is
penda.
*In shifting cultivation,parts of the forest are cut and burnt in rotation.seeds
are sown in the ashes after the first monsoon rain and the crop is
harvested.such plots are cultivated for 2 to 3 yrs and than left fallow for 12 to
18 yrs for the forest to grow back.some mixed crops is grown on these lands.
*Shifting cultivation was banned because it burned valuable timber and they
couldn't calculate taxes.
Who had the right to hunt?
*Forest law prohibited the villagers for hunting deer,patridges and variety of
small animals.
*britishers wanted to civilse india by killing dangerous animals like
tigers,because they saw as sign of wild and savage society.
*they gave reward for the killing of tigers and large animals,so 80,000 tigers
and 200,000 volves were killed for reward.
*the maharaja of sarguja shot 1157 tigers and geroge yule killed 400 tigers.
