Description Paragraph
Just this weekend, I got the privilege of going to an Air Force Basic Military Training
Graduation to watch my boyfriend become an Airman. This is a very intense event and while I
was there I experienced lots of actions. I witnessed the coining of the trainees, which was
immediately followed by the sounds of cheers and claps from the crowd full of parents, siblings,
significant others, etc. After their release I, along with the whole crowd, ran down and greeted
my Airman with lots of warm hugs and kisses. The air filled with the smells of perfumes and
cologne as all the hugs were exchanged. Right after the emotional greetings all my Airman
wanted to do was go get something sweet. After being restricted from eating dessert for 8 weeks,
that's all that any Airman wanted to do. We ran right over to a restaurant and everyone ate
delicious pieces of soft, frosted cake. It was an unbelievable experience that brought smiles to
everyone's faces the whole weekend.
