FLUSHING KIT ON
KONFORT SERIES 700
This document is aimed to describe the procedure to install and to set-up the Flushing Kit
(article no. ACKF01) on Konfort 700 series units.
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of the Flushing Kit is that of employ the refrigerant contained into the tank of the
Konfort unit to perform the maintenance of the A/C systems, in order to flush and to clean up:
UV additive;
which are remaining into the hydraulic circuit (this clean action is absolutely necessary after a
break of a main component of the A/C system, such the compressor).
The flush of an A/C system (especially after a first component break) is very important,
because:
the removal of stuck impurities from the inner part of the hydraulic circuit of the system
avoids, after the replacement of the broken part, that in few time also the new part could
break;
many component manufacturers require a declaration of occurred flush of the A/C system
before proceeding with the failed component replacement. This oblige is required for the
recognition of the warranty on the replaced component (this is the reason for which we
suggest to provide the Konfort unit also with a thermal printer, in order to perform a
printout of the flushing report).
put the screws with the corresponding aluminum rings (all included into the package) on
the corresponding holes on the side of the unit. Lock the screws with a proper Allen
wrench:
connect the canister to the two rings on the side of the unit:
Once the canister installation will be performed, the following hydraulic connections must be
performed:
The red flushing hose (part no. 3900171) must be connected to the input of the
flushing canister:
The role of the black canister is that of improving the vacuum during the flushing process,
thus allowing the refrigerant to reach the part which needs to be flushed with a higher
force.
The bigger diameter of the red flushing hose has the function of improving the high
pressure refrigerant flow towards the part to be flushed.
The blue LP hose of the Konfort unit must be connected to the output of the flushing
canister:
This connection will allow the Konfort unit to recover the refrigerant from the canister once
the flushing process will be completed.
The other end of the red flushing hose must be equipped with the 1/4 x 3/8 adapter
(part no. 3900172):
Connect the 1/4 x HP R134a adapter (part no. 3900173) to the HP quick coupler of
the unit:

If the Audi-Volkswagen adapter set is used, connect the 3/8 x HP R134a adapter
(part no. 3900174) to the HP quick coupler of the unit:

WARNING: The Audi-Volkswagen adapter set is not included into the TEXA
flushing kit, it must be purchased directly from the VAG Group.
Before starting the flushing process, ensure that the DRAIN oil bottle of the Konfort unit
will be empty. This will prevent the oil/UV from coming out from the bottle during the
cleaning process:

the flushing process
Before starting the flushing process, ensure that the internal tank of the Konfort unit will
contain at least 5 kilograms of refrigerant:

unit before starting the flushing process
Choose the preferred flushing mode by scrolling with the UP and DOWN button and by
confirming with the ENTER button on the desired selection. By choosing the Multiple
Flushing option, the machine will allow to program up to 10 consecutive flushing cycles:
By pressing the ENTER button, the unit will show the following message:
then press the ENTER button to confirm. The unit will show the following message:
then press the ENTER button to confirm. The unit will start to perform the preliminary internal
cleaning:
Performed the described connection of the HP port to the part of the A/C system to be flushed
according to what has been described by the previous Image 7 or Image 8 (depending on the
vehicle brand and model, see also the ACKF01 user manual on Chapters 5 and 6).
Ensure that the valve of the HP coupler will be screwed (hydraulically open) and that the thick
red flushing hose will be also connected to the part of the A/C system to be flushed (see Image
6 and the ACKF01 user manual on Chapters 5 and 6).
Then press the ENTER button to confirm. The unit will show the following message:
Ensure that the LP quick coupler will be connected to the output of the flushing canister, as
depicted on Image 5. Ensure also that the valve of the LP coupler will be screwed
(hydraulically open).
Once the vacuum condition will be reached, the unit will automatically perform a 3 minutes
vacuum hold test in order to ensure that the system will not leak during the next refrigerant
flushing process:
At the end of the refrigerant filling the unit will automatically start a recycling phase, followed
by an oil drainage, in order to collect the refrigerant and the contaminants (oil/UV additive)
from the part of the A/C system which has been flushed:
Once the recycling process will be completed, the unit will automatically show the following
message:
thus indicating that the flushing process has been successfully carried out and by reporting the
amount of oil/UV additive which has been extracted during the process.
If the Konfort unit is provided with thermal printer, the unit will also perform a printout of the
flushing report.
