It is a model that incorporates several theories related to instructional and


learning process.
Learners retain more information by what they do as opposed to what is
heard, read or observed.

- Hands on or field experience.
Thats why action learning techniques results in up to 90% of retention.
Instructor should design activities upon more real life situation.
Since Dales Cone of Experience can be used a method in teaching, the instructor
should ask the following in order to find out if she/he has an effective teaching
technique:
- Where will the students experience with their instructional resource
fit on the cone? How far it is removed from real life?
- What kind of learning experience do you want to provide in the
classroom?
- How does the instructional resource augment the information
supplied by the textbook?
- What and how many senses can students use to learn this
instructional material?
- Does the instructional material enhance learning?
