SYNOPSIS

In this new reality competition, 12 Columbia College Hollywood students will compete against each
other in a Big Brother/Survivor-esque game, where they will periodically vote each other out of the
game until only one player remains. The twist? The whole game will start and finish in only 12 hours!
Players will have to strategize and make alliances quickly, because time is short. Every hour a new player
will be voted out, their chance at the prize taken, so theres no room for errors. Will old, pre-existing
friendships and rivalries effect the game? Or will players start off fresh, forging new friendships, or
igniting new feuds? Theyll need to maneuver carefully, because when the final 2 players remain, it will
be the eliminated players who get to decide which of them wins the grand prize: (TBD)
The competition is split, naturally, into 12 hours. At the end of every hour, a new player is voted out of
the game. Each episode would cover 1 hour in the game.
Each hour is split into three sections, THE TOP OF THE HOUR, THE MIDDLE OF THE HOUR, and THE
BOTTOM OF THE HOUR

TOP OF THE HOUR

Every hour begins with a challenge. Everyone remaining in the game competes for a chance to win
TOKENS, which will give them different advantages going forward in the game. Many different types of
tokens can be won, but the two main tokens that will be utilized are NOMINATION TOKENS and SAFETY
TOKENS. The use of these will be explained shortly.
When the challenge is over, and everyone has gotten their respective tokens, the MIDDLE OF THE HOUR
begins

MIDDLE OF THE HOUR

During the middle of the hour, the players have whats left of that hour to strategize, mingle, and most
importantly, decide who will be eligible to vote out at the bottom of the hour.

An idea of what the game board might look like

Tom

In the main room where all the challenges and vote offs are held, there is a large board with every
players name and face on it. This is known as THE GAME BOARD.
At any time during the middle of the hour, players can use their tokens on the board by placing the
token underneath the player they want to use it on. Different tokens will give different advantages or
disadvantages to whoever it got played on.

If you play a NOMINATION TOKEN on somebody, they

become eligible for the vote at the bottom of the hour.
Nomination Token
If you play a SAFETY TOKEN on somebody who has a
NOMINATION TOKEN, it cancels out the nomination,
making the player once again ineligible for the vote at
the bottom of the hour.

Safety Token

Players have only until 5 minutes till the end of the hour to use their tokens that round. Once they hit 5
minutes, and alarm sounds, the game board becomes closed, and the BOTTOM OF THE HOUR begins.

BOTTOM OF THE HOUR

Whoever still has a nomination chip played on them at the bottom of the hour is eligible for elimination.
There must be at least two players eligible for the vote, otherwise the rest of the players will receive a
severe punishment

In this situation, Matt, Lee, and Nicole would be eligible for the vote
Players, including those eligible for the vote, take turns voting in private for who they want to see
eliminated from the game.
After everyone has voted, everyones votes are revealed on the board. The person with the most votes
is eliminated from the competition, and must immediately leave for the elimination house, where all the
eliminated players will stay and wait for the FINAL 2.

FINAL 2
When only 2 players remain, they compete in a different kind of challenge at the top of the hour.
Instead of competing for tokens, the players will compete for VOTES.
In the middle of the hour, all the eliminated players are brought back, and are each given one vote. At
the end of the hour, instead of voting for a player to be eliminated, the already eliminated players will
use their votes to vote for who they want to win the game.
The final 2 players get the middle of the hour to convince the eliminated players why they should vote
for them. Additionally, the final 2 players have to give out their votes they won in the challenge to the
eliminated players, giving them additional votes at the bottom of the hour. Players must be careful to
give their votes to the right people, because the eliminated contestants could use their votes against
them.
At the bottom of the hour, the eliminated contestants privately vote for who they want to win the grand
prize. If they have multiple votes, they may vote for both players if they wish, or double up on one
player.
Once the votes are cast, the winner is revealed, and is given their grand prize, _______, and the title of
12 Hour Champion.

Specialty Rules
If nobody is nominated by the bottom of the hour, everyone will become nominated. Alternatively, one
contestant is eliminated randomly via a rock draw.
If only one contestant is nominated ay the bottom of the hour, that contestant gets the one and only
vote, and can vote for any of the other contestants.
If the result of the vote is a tie, the tied contestants will face off against each other. Everyone else will
publicly revote by standing next to the contestant they want eliminated. Contestants may speak with
one another, but once a majority of the group is standing next to one contestant, they are eliminated. If
too much time passes before a decision can be made, one of the other non-nominated contestants will
randomly eliminated via a rock draw.
Nomination tokens, safety tokens, and other advantages must be used by their expiration date. Some of
them must be used in the same hour they were won, some may be kept over multiple hours.

CHALLENGE POSSIBILITIES

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Final 12 (First challenge)
In an effort to introduce the contestants, game, and rules all in one neat little sitting, the host will
randomly call the contestants up in pairs of two. Once called up, each person will do a brief introduction
to the rest of the contestants. After the introductions, the host will reveal a prize. This is how the host
will introduce and explain the different powers contestants will be competing for throughout the game.
These include nomination tokens, safety tokens, extra votes, etc. After the prize is announced, the host
will then instruct the other 10 contestants to vote which of the two contestants they want to receive the
prize. Whoever has the most votes receives the prize. If its a tie, both contestants receive the prize. The
pair joins the rest of the contestants, and the host calls up two more contestants. This repeats until
every contestant has been introduced

HOT POTATO
Final 11-8 (Flexible)
Contestants stand in a circle. One of the contestants is given an object (a potato, a ball, a token, etc.)
representing a prize or punishment. That contestant must pass the object to somebody else in the circle.
That person then throws the object to somebody else into the circle. Once the object has been passed
to you, you cannot be passed to anymore. Contestants pass the object until everyone cannot be passed
to anymore. The person left with the object gets whatever prize or punishment is represented by the
object. Play repeats with a new prize/punishment, with the winner of the previous round throwing the
first pass.

TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET

Final 11-5 (Flexible)
All the contestants are put in a small, dark room. While inside the room, contestants dont have access
to the clock or the game board, and cannot communicate with anyone outside the room. The hour timer
begins, and at any point contestants may exit the room and access the game board. When you exit the
room, you receive a prize. The prizes get better as more people leave the room. Contestants outside of
the room may interact with the board and nominate/save people while contestants are still in the room.
Contestants in the room will not be told how long theyve been inside, and if the end of the hour hits
while they are still inside, they will not win anything, and wont get a chance to interact with the board
before the vote.

SMOOTHIE TIME
Final 11-5 (Flexible)
An assortment of smoothies are offered to the contestants. Each smoothie is synonymous with a
corresponding prize that can be won upon drinking the entire smoothie. The better the prize, the worse
the smoothie tastes. Contestants take turns picking their smoothies, then the hour begins. Contestants

can take as long as they need to finish the smoothie, but cannot leave the room or interact with the
gameboard unless they finish the smoothie, or forfeit the challenge.

GOING IN BLIND
Final 7-3 (Flexible)
Contestants are all blindfolded. The same object is placed in front of every contestant. On go,
contestants will use their hands to try and correctly identify the object. The first person to guess
correctly wins the prize for that round. Play continues for several rounds.

PONG
Final 12-5 (Flexible)
Contestants are each assigned a color of solo cup. An equal number of solo cups representing all of the
contestants are arranged on the far side of a ping pong table. Each solo cup also has a prize written on
it. Players will take turns attempting to land a ping pong ball into other contestants cups. If a ball lands
in your cup, you lose the prize written on the cup, and the cup is removed from the table. After
everyone has thrown a certain amount of balls, the contestants with cups remaining on the table goes
and collects their prizes.

ADVANTAGE/DISADVANTAGE POSSIBILITIES
Token Stealer: Can steal an unused token from any player
Lock: When played on a contestant, it locks their current status for the remainder of the hour (if they
are safe, they cant be nominated, if theyre nominated, they cant be saved)
Double Vote: Can be used to cast an extra vote at the bottom of the hour
Vote Cancel: Can be used to cancel someone elses vote at the bottom of the hour
Curse: A player who is cursed cannot be saved if nominated. Curses can last for multiple hours
Automatic Nomination: A player is automatically nominated for the vote
Freeze: When played on a contestant, that contestant is unable to interact with the gameboard for the
rest of the hour
