Use graphite and continuous lines. Try and only pick up your pencil 7 times in 30 minutes. At all
times regard your line as recording the edges of planes do so whether curved or flat, near or far. By
increasing and decreasing pressure on your drawing instrument you can vary the value and weight
of line to help suggest the forms near or far parts.
Thinner lighter lines imply a curved surface, rounded form where heavier, darker incised lines
suggest the edge of a flat plane. The slower the line the more you will see.
