Narration on the cause of accident

The above picture depicts an accident that happened on 14 th January 2017 at

Mannarpuram near Trichy. The accident took place in the wee hours at around
05.00 am. The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus plying to Chennai
from Nagercoil rammed into Maruti Swift Car which was travelling in the front.
The impact had a multiplying effect as the Car travelling behind the bus hit the
backside of the bus and toppled on the pavement. Six passengers including
three women were seriously injured and admitted in the nearby Government
Hospital for treatment. As per the First Investigation Report by Murugesan,
Deputy Superintendent of Police the driver of Maruti Swift Car had fell asleep and
had to apply brakes due to exigency. The driver of the car that had hit on the
rear of the bus was in inebriated condition. Thirdly the brake condition of the bus
was not in condition to provide a sudden halt
Measures that would have avoided the accident
First and Foremost, take enough rest before you hit the road for a long travel
Secondly never drive on alcohol as drive & drink are heady cocktail inviting for
an accident
Lastly, check the condition of yourself as well the vehicle before it is on the road
