PRACTICAL ISSUE STD B BASIC CONFIGURATION

TASK 1 UPGRADE FIRMWARE IN CONTROLLER AND WRITE PREPARED ARCHIVE

1.

Import firmware from your USB to COMPUTER

- Double-click to firmware file (*.igc) corresponding with your controller (IG-NT BB, IG-NT GC, IS-NT) and follow instruction

2. Connect to controller
- Open InteliMonitor in Quick-connect to controller mode
- Set DIRECT CONNECTION
- Select correct communication port (assigned by Windows)
- Set controller address
- Click OPEN CONNECTION
3.

Upgrade firmware
- Open GenConfig from home bar, or TOOLS menu
- Click to Filesr->Firmware upgrade and cloning->FW Upgrade (default configuration)
- Select the latest FW version for for your device
- Once its done, in controller is FW version 3.1.4 with default archive

4. Open predefined archive from your USB and write it to the controller
- Click Open and open Archive_1.ant
- Configuration saved in archive will be opened and you can write it to controller by option Write to Controller
- Process is started, but you will received an error message, because archive has been built in version 3.0.0.
In this case, you have to use special tool Import configuration wizard. This function allows you import archive with different version to the controller.
- Click Read from Controller to read actual controllers data and select Import configuration wizard. Select file Archive_1.ant and follow instructions.

TASK 2 MAKE GENERATOR (SIMULATOR) OPERATIONAL

1.

Set controllers inputs and outputs according to the description in APPENDIX 1

- Open GenConfig and set binary inputs and outputs according to the description
- Set analog inputs and specify their curves and protections. You have to creat your own sensor curves on the User Sensors tab.
- Check LBI tab. Functions (on the left side) should be assigned only to the binary inputs (Bin inputs CU)

2. Change controllers setpoints according to description in the SETPOINTS.PDF file

- Focus mainly to the groups in GREY
- If you are wondering what exactly does this parameter, select it and press F1
- You can make this automatically in InteliMonitor by Import alternative setpoints feature. Open Setpoints window and choose from the Setpoints menu Open
Alternative Setpoints and select an archive IG-BB-SPTM-SK (or IG-GC-SPTM-SK, IS-SPTM-SK) as a source. Next to actual setpoints will appear a new column with
setpoints from the selected archive. Differences are highlighted and you can overwrite it by double-click or import all in one step by option Import alternative
setpoints in Setpoints menu.

3. Start generator in MAN mode and adjust all parameters by potentiometers to the nominal values
- GCB feedback and MCB feedback binary inputs should be in AUT position

4. Test basic functions

- Backup function In AUT mode, when grid supply is lost or out of limits, controller should start a generator, open MCB and close GCB. Once grid becomes healthy,
controller should count down Mains Return Dealy and synchronization should be started (flashing MCB). Because StarterKit is not able to simulate speed control,
you should go to the screen with synchroscope (screen No.6) and make synchronization manually by RPM potentiometer.
- Remote Start By activation binary input with function Remote Start/Stop, controller should start genset, synchronize it to the grid supply (flashing GCB) and
export power set by setpoint Base Load (Process Control).
- Remote TEST

When binary input Remote TEST is activated, generator should start, because controller is forced to the TEST mode (GCB is not closed)

5. Are you done? Continue with extra tasks

- Change BI 6 function to make a test with load transfer to the generator (use combination of functions Rem Test an TEST on LD)
- Assign protections to Analog Values. All protection should have Warning and Shut Down levels.
Oil Pressure protection should be active only when engine is running. Temperature protection should have BOC protection instead of Shut Down.
- MCB should open when Generator is started and parallel is not allowed. Focus to AMF settings.

TASK 3 FORCE VALUE

1.

Disable MainsFail function by binary input

- Open GenConfig and add value forcing to the parameter MF Start Enable to disable automatic backup function
- Use both methods, by force value WIZZARD and by MANUAL input

2.

Decrease gensets nominal power to 80% when controller is in MAN mode
