India is located on the
continent of Asia. It is
surrounded by the Indian
Ocean and The Bay Of
Bengal. India is south of
Pakistan and China.

Geography
India has a variety of
landforms and bodies of
water. The Deccan Plateau is
a triangular shaped area that
provides rich soil for farmers.
The black soil is rich with
minerals that can be used to
grow cotton. The Indus River
has often been compared to
Egypts Nile River. The Indus
River valley contains some of
the best farmland in the
world. Indus River carries silt
from the mountains to the
plains.The silt leaves the
surrounding soil rich and
fertile. Himalaya Mountains is

Agriculture
Indian people grew Dates,
Field Peas, Mustard and
Rice. Indians raised Cattle,
Sheep ,Goats, Pig,
Buffalo,Camel, and Fowl.
Cattle was used for milk.
Adult Cattle was used for
beef.

Religion
Hinduism is a major religious
and cultural tradition of South
Asia, developed from Vedic
religion.They believed in Karma

and Reincarnation. Reincarnation

is basically rebirth. Karman is
souls passing through a cycle of
successive lives. Indians worship
the gods Brahma, Vishnu, and
Shiva.
