Which beverage

will stain an egg

shell?

Purpose
My project is to see which beverages will stain an egg shell.
Some beverages can stain an egg shell like ,tea coffee,and
cola are some of the beverages that will stain an egg shell . I
wonder which beverage will stain a egg shell

Hypothesis
I predict that cola will have the most affect stain on the egg
shell because of its different ingredients

Background Research
coffee can stain an egg shell , it can be possible that tea can too.
tea can most likely stain teeth more than tea can stain a egg
shell . Also an egg shell is like a brownish white color some are
white some are brown how ever an egg shell can be stained by
tea or coffee .

Materials
-

stop watch
tea
cola
4 large containers
paper
pencil
4 eggs
coffee

Procedures
-spread the containers out on a flat surface
- fill the 4 containers up with 4 different liquids
-gather 4 eggs and a tong
- start to make your tea and coffee
-drop the 4 eggs into the 4 different liquids
-compare and effect of the four different liquids

Conclusion
My Conclusion is that the tea had the most effect on the egg
because it darkened the egg more than any other of the
beverages.
