Introduction:
In recent years, the researchers discovered a great treatment against cancers drug delivery
systems. Drug delivery (DDS) refers to approaches, systems, formulations and technologies
for transporting a pharmaceutical compound in the body as needed to safety achieve its
desired therapeutic effect ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_delivery ).Usually, DDS is
used on a wide scale in medicine because the toxicology of this method is less.
In this project, we decided to talk about Colon targeted drug delivery systems because
colon cancer is an important factor in peoples death.
First of all, we must know why the oncologists use this awesome method.
Unfortunately, after statistics in United Kingdom, bowel cancer has a huge impact in society
41.112 new cases of bowel cancer are discovered in 2013 and 15.903 deaths from it in
2014. Another statistics say that only 57% from survivors live for 10 or more years (20102011) (http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/health-professional/cancer-statistics/statistics-bycancer-type/bowel-cancer#heading-One).
