(Standing Orders) Act, 1946, in its application to t tie
8[State of Tamil Nadu].

WHEREAS
it is expedient further to amend the Industrial

Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946 (Central Act XX

of 1946), in its application to the 3[Stateaf Tamil Nadu] for
the purpose hereinafter appearing ;

BE it enact~din the Eleventh Year of the Republic of India

as follows :Short title,
1. (1) This Act may be called the Industrial Employ- ex!ent
and
lncnt (Sta.nd i ng Orders) l[Tami 1 Nad u] Amendment Act, ,f-,,e,.
1960.
n~ont.

(2) It extends to the whole of the 3[State of Tamil Nladu].

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State

Government may, by notification, appoint.

2. To clause (c) of section 2 of the Industrial EmployOf -tion
2, ment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946 (Central Act XX of 1946),

the Official Gazette, any offices subordinate to the Labour
Commissioner to exercise, in such aTea as may be specified in
the notification, the functions of a Certifying Officer under
this k t , and any ofbcer appointcd as aforesaid may exercise those functions, whether or not the Labour Commisdonex is absent,"
