Religion: We are learning more about Advent,

Jesus and Mary and the Christmas story. We
gathered with Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
graders for an Advent prayer service celebrating
the second week of Advent. We read the story A
Stocking for Jesus. Each class received a stocking
to hang in the classroom. Students are filling the
stocking with gifts of kindness for Jesus. We
celebrated the Feast Day of St. Nicholas with a
letter writing activity.
Reading: We are working with short and long
vowel sounds. We are reading and writing words
with silent e. We are working with plurals (adding s
and es) and possessives (adding s to nouns). We
are writing in our December journals.
