Check Toe Stability of Secant Pile Wall

In the following pages, the toe stability of the wall has been check after the
second last anchor has been installed and further excavate to rockhead or formation
level.

The toe stability has been checked by considering an equivalent surcharge at the
lowest anchor level and considering moment equilibrium at the lowest anchor level.
The active moment from the surcharge should be resisted by the wall moment capacity
(Ms) and shear resistant from the shear pin.

The calculation shows that the minimum shear resistant from the shear pin is
sufficient to maintain the stability of the wall toe.
