Enterprise Resource Planning
COURSE OBJECTIVE:- The aim this course is to give an insight into the principles of enterprise
resource planning systems, its utility and implementation challenges. The course introduces Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) and beyond ERP applications. This includes systematic study of history and
journey of ERP development from inventory control, Order Point System (OPS) Production Planning &
Control (PPC) to Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP-II). A
brief idea of associated Supply Chain Management (SCM), Human Recourse Management (HRM) and
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) will be addressed. Specifically functions and its
implementation, analysis with Current Trends & Future will be covered. Finally elaborate assimilation of
ERP and associated modules to deliver total solution will be enlightened.
