Career Action Plan
4/30/17
As part of my Career Action Plan (CAP), I am interested in becoming an actor. In the
performing arts, actors play roles in stage, radio, television, movie, and entertainment projects.
Actors often accept roles in television commercials, documentaries, or other instructional videos.
Actros are required to analyze scripts, interpret comedic or dramatic readings, and tell stories
through speech, song, and dance. Actors hours and workplaces vary, depending on their current
task. Most actors perform nightly and rehearse during the late afternoon. Some movie actors will
work from early in the morning until late at night. In the performing arts, the average entry salary
is approximately $53,791 with a salary range between $44,327-$65,676. This career area, the
performing arts, is interesting to me because of its intellectual yet artistic demands. Actors are
not only required to gregariously perform in front of an audience, but rather develop characters
with depth that are easily relatable and loved.
To prepare for this career path, I am taking all my core classes, in addition to
participating in the drama club, mock trial team, ACT ONE Theatre School, and Trojan Chorale.
Further, I have participated in the following career development activities to enhance my
theatrical training.
My Path speaker series I have attended:

Writing & Journalism (12/1/16)

Workshops:
