Borg Institute for Women in Technology is Indias largest gathering of women

technologists. GHC offers scholarships to students to attend and learn from different
conference sessions, meet other women in technology and connect with leading
organizations.Scholarship recipients also get access to GHCs Student Career Fair , where
bright and dynamic students can meet top recruiters from global technology companies.
As a GHC scholarship applicant , I was asked to write on why I deserve this scholarship,
what my technical interests are and why I think GHC would provide a learning platform
for me to interact and gain experience from leaders coming from all over India. After
several rounds of application review by the Committee that consisted of experienced
men and women professionals from the academia , I was given a high score and was one
among the 83 scholarship awardees chosen from India.
The application was reviewed based on criteria such as academic achievements, focus on
specialization through internships, participation in contests and workshops, projects and
other extracurricular activities.
This is a great opportunity for women driven by a passion for technology , to meet
similar people and gain an exposure at a global level, and at the same time develop an
insight into the increasing role of women in technology in the future.
