Tigers are listed as an Appenix I species, which refers to a species that is threatened with
extinction, since October 1987. Therefore, the commercial trade of a body parts was
banned. Illegal trade of body parts of tigers has led to the death of more than 1,000 wild
tigers. In 2006 the extinction of tigers had been a great issue as t estimated number of tigers
had fallen to 1,4112. I was actively part of the Save Tigers campaign of my city, Kolkata to
stop commercial trading of tiger parts. Growing up in West he nmials and animal
