This project seeks to empower leadership in Western North Carolina to grow the clean energy sector through data analysis and tools. It will conduct a survey of the clean energy supply chain and identify gaps. A high-level leadership group will be developed to coordinate regional networking through an online portal. The project will establish a clean energy brand and recruit businesses to strengthen the emerging economic cluster in the region. Challenges to be addressed include a lack of unified vision, leadership, and understanding of the clean energy business opportunities across the 31 counties in Western North Carolina.
