Accomplishments
Initiated inter-governmental agreements with most of the local governments within
Algonquin Township for shared equipment and services. (Ex: salt storage shed is used
by the state, county and several local municipalities. This reduces their costs by
preventing them from having to acquire land and build their own sheds and/or the
man hours it would take in the drive time to get to and from already existing sheds.)
Cooperate with and assist local charities, non-profits, civic organizations and groups
with community projects. Promote public/private partnerships to provide services
and reduce costs. (Ex: work with local food pantries to provide assistance to eligible
residents reducing the need for public agencies to provide this same service. We
also work with several Rotary Clubs to provide outerwear collection and
distribution programs.)
Exist as a resource for all McHenry County Townships for activities such as
equipment repair, heavy hauling, technical support, tire drivers, joint purchasing,
etc. to maximize the taxpayer dollars not only in our township, but in neighboring
communities as well.
Developed a pavement maintenance program
(crack filling, pavement preservation processes, resurfacing timetables)
