Career Objective
To gain work experience as a Registered Practical Nurse in a hospital setting, allowing me to
demonstrate my competency and experience providing excellent care within the nursing scope of
practice to various individuals.
Education
Practical Nursing Diploma
Fleming College
Peterborough, Ontario

September 2015 -- Present

Achievements
Leadership
During my clinical rotations as a Practical Nursing student intern, I worked as Team Leader on
multiple occasions. Working as a team leader in a clinical setting as a student has given me a
better sense for establishing teamwork, improving my time-management and prioritization skills.
Education
While working at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre as a student, I participated in many
educational sessions hosted by several health care professionals. Some sessions I have
participated in include stroke assessment, skin integrity and pressure ulcer care, and therapeutic
nurse-client relationship educational sessions.
Competence
As a Practical Nursing student, I have successfully completed over three hundred hours of
clinical work in health care settings including hospitals and long-term care settings. During the
past year, I have developed strong skills for performing individualized physical examinations and
applying critical thinking skills into these settings to work proficiently with critically ill
individuals.
