Control Measure

1.1 Only trained/competent workers should use compressed air or air


blowers
1.2 Working area should be barricaded and proper warning signages should
be posted.
1.3 Check the electric connections of air blowers
1.4 Inspection of electric DB and RCB
1.5 Keep all other workers away from the cleaning area
1.6 Adequate supervision
1.7 Carryout daily tool box talk
1.8 Use appropriate PPEs dust mask-filter type safety goggles face shield
ear plugs and hand gloves
2.1 Workers applying poly primer SB coating should undergo a training
based on MSDS.
2.2 Barricade the water proofing area to avoid unauthorized entry.
2.3 Provide caution signages.
2.4 Display MSDS and First aid measures.
2.5 Keep fire extinguisher near by and a trained person to operate.
2.6 Use face shield, disposable aprons/PVC aprons, and Chemical cartridge
type respirators.
2.7 Stored the material as mentioned in the MSDS.
2.8 Carryout daily tool box talk.
2.9 Adequate supervision and PPE.
2.10 Follow procedure P-41 for Hazardous Material Handling

Storage of water proofing materials.

Store the membrane as instructed in the MSDS.


Only trained workers have to assign to the task.
The manual cutting tool (Knife) to be secured and inspected.
All waste materials and films to be disposed in the designated waste
skip.
Use appropriate PPE.
Carry out daily tool box talk.
Competent supervision.
Follow procedure P-41 for Hazardous Material Handling.

4.1 Arrange designated chemical storage area.


4.2 Arrange drip tray for bitumen primer cans
4.3 Display MSDS, emergency contact numbers.
4.4 Provide suitable ventilation.
4.5 Keep DCP and CO2 fire extinguishers.
4.6 Display adequate warning signages.
4.7 Follow procedure for Hazardous Material Handling.
4.8 Use appropriate PPE(Impervious gloves, Cartridge type masks etc)
4.9 Spill Kit to be provided.
4.10 To be Conduct Tool Box Talk.
