I have worked with Michele this school year. During this time, I have had the opportunity to see her on both a personal and professional level. I have observed her as a teacher and a team player. As an individual, Michele is dependable and conscientious. On a professional level, Michele is very committed to the profession. She believes in the educational system and that all students must be well-educated. At every opportunity, she immerses herself in learning about the latest educational research, educational methodology, and curricula trends. From the knowledge she gains, she willingly shares that which she feels will best serve the students during the weekly collaboration meetings. She has taken it upon herself to lead her team to better advocate for students. She believes in creating a safe environment that is conducive to learning which includes establishing good relationships with her colleagues, students, and their parents. She serves as the iPad designee for 8 grade where she handles most of the discipline relative to iPads. In this role, she is a direct support for administration. She is a lead teacher for the after school tutorial program, Extended Learning. She is responsible for hiring teachers, registering students, and overseeing the effectiveness of the program.
