A Bloomfield familys wish to

ease their sons fear of law enforcement resulted in an unbreakable bond with local police and a
badge of his own.
Kyreese Kolby Mumma -- known
to family and friends as Kye -- was
named an honorary member of
the Bloomfield Police Department
last week. The 7-year-old boy was
excited to receive his own police
badge and take the oath of an
honorary police officer.

for them to make sure their son
understood that local police are
the good guys.
His parents said for the longest
time, Kye wanted to grow up to
be a police officer, but a national
news story scared him.
I noticed he was hiding from
police when I was going to take
him to school, and he said he was

Kye has autism ... Because he
has a tendency to wander and

Ariel is an approximately 3-4 year old Chihuahua Miniature Pinscher mix.

She is spayed, up-to-date on shots, micro-chipped and house broken. Staff
said the owner of Ariel surrendered her to the shelter on Oct. 25, 2016, because
they thought she barked too much. She is heart worm positive, though has
had Veterinary treatment and will come with both heart worm and flea/tick
treatments. Staff said she is a sweet girl, though should not be around small
children. The fee to take Ariel home is $125.
