Women have suffrage rights, the

right to sue, or the right to own
property. Women and men have
equal rights.

seen as belonging to the

domestic sphere, and this
stereotype required them to
provide their husbands with a
clean home, food on the table
and to raise their children

Some women are still expected to

stay at home to provide for their
family. They were also expected to
know basic household chores,like
cleaning the house, cooking, and
raising their children.
Domestic violence is evident up
until today. It is estimated that 35
per cent of women worldwide
have experienced either physical
and/or sexual intimate partner
violence or sexual violence by a
non-partner at some point in their
lives.
Women can marry anyone they
wish to. If she doesnt wants to,
her decision is respected by many,
but some people still mock women
for that choice, claiming they are
built for that.
There are still women stereotypes
in our society. These are some
examples:
- Women are quieter than men
and not meant to speak out
- Women are supposed to be
submissive and do as they are

treated as property to their

husbands, giving them rights to
what their bodies produced;
children, sex and domestic
labour

were groomed to get ready for

courtship and marriage

expected to be pure, chaste,

refined, and modest

told
- Women are meant to be the
damsel in distress; never the
hero
