2. Have students discuss within their group any lollipop moments theyve had--whether they were giving or
receiving. Students will reflect on both the article and video. Groups will discuss any characteristics they
possess as a manager or a leader.
Part Three
1. Students will read the two quotes provided by Peter F. Drucker & Agha Hasan Abedi--these could be posted
online (on Blogger, Edmodo, a class Wiki.) The group will then create and post a list of management and
leadership characteristics online.

2. Have students collaboratively create a list of management and leadership characteristics. Have the group
create a wordle for management and leadership based off of the article, TED Talk, and quotes.

Post Assessment
Before leaving for the day, students will write a brief 2 paragraph essay explaining the differences between a
leader and manager. They will include which characteristics they themselves possess. They should include
evidence from the article, video, quotes, and group discussions.
2. As they exit the door when the bell rings, students receive a lollipop for todays activity.
