The 2nd Young Leaders' Congress was held from November 7-10, 2014 at Parang Central Elementary School with the theme "Tibay ng Bayan ay Angat kung Kabataan ay Mulat." (The strength of the nation lies in the awakening of the youth). Ten students from Amir Bara Lidasan National High School participated along with 81 other students from public and private schools. The 4-day training helped participants gain knowledge about leadership and being a good role model for youth. With support from USAID, local officials, and other partners, the program was a success. theme of the 2nd Young Leaders Congress. Ten lucky students from Amir Bara Lidasan National High School namely Trixie Rose Cortez, Sittie Fairodz Pasandalan, Aaron Nio Boholst, Rayne Micah Arcena, Sharmaine Teves , Maurice Norman John Toledo, Steven Liong, Jayvee Fretzh Maacap, Ellaiza Villanueva and Marisol Ampao were chosen to join the activity. The 4-day training was held at Parang Central Elementary School last November 7-10, 2014 headed by Local Government Unit (LGU) which leadership is commonly enhances. There are 81 participants from different public and private secondary schools. The said Congress helped the participants to gain more knowledge about how to become a good leader as well as being a good example especially in our youth today. With the partnership of USAID, engaged sponsored, Municipal officials, Men in Uniform, the program became successful and a momentous Each individual really enjoyed the days with their new friends and assigned Ates and Kuyas showing their talents, creativity and 100 percent cooperating simultaneous activities. In the last day, the young leaders have their trip in different line Agencies in Parang, lakbay-aral to flagship project and tree planting. Together with the YLC, facilitators and government officials had the boodle fight, zip line riding, and election of the little young officials. Elected officers as well as the young leaders have their Governance week in which they assign in every position in every department; they enjoy acting like an employee, having meeting and discussion of agenda with Parliamentary procedures, sharing ideas and others.
Days that they been through together gives the sudden
emotion when the culminating activity or the graduation came. The participants realized how much happy they being part of it. Even though in a few days they treasure again the word friendship with newly met friends and being useful as a youth.
