SHORT AND LONG REPORT

This article is about the song "Alice's Restaurant Massacree". For the album,

"Alice's Restaurant Massacree" is a record by singer-songwriter Arlo
Guthrie, released as the title track to his 1967 debut album Alice's Restaurant.
It is notable as a satirical, first-person account of 1960s counterculture, in
addition to being a hit song in its own right and an inspiration for the 1969 film,
also named Alice's Restaurant. The song is one of Guthrie's most prominent
works, based on a true incident from his life that began on Thanksgiving
Day 1965 with a citation for littering, and ended with the refusal of the U.S.
Army to draft him because of his conviction for that crime. The ironic punch line
of the story is that, in the words of Guthrie, "I'm sittin' here on the Group W
bench 'cause you want to know if I'm moral enough to join the Armyburn
women, kids, houses and villagesafter bein' a litterbug." The final part of the
song is an encouragement for the listeners to sing along, to resist the draft, and
to end war.
The song consists of a protracted spoken monologue, with a constantly
repeated fingerstyle ragtime guitar (Piedmont style) guitar backing, bookended
by a short chorus, the titular song "Alice's Restaurant"; Guthrie has used the
short "Alice's Restaurant" bookends and guitar backings for other monologues
bearing the Alice's Restaurant name. It lasts 18 minutes and 34 seconds,
occupying the entire A-side of the Alice's Restaurant album. The work has
become Guthrie's signature song and he has periodically re-released it with
updated lyrics.

Food and beverage service is a complex and painstaking work, the waiter serving the
people rather than materials. Food and beverage products are only intermediary contact
restaurants and customer. The ultimately the work of food and beverage service is
servicing to the people; only good service can attract and retain live customers. In
service improvement on quality and management, many food and beverage companies

often do not understand the real needs of customer service in the business of just blindly
improve facilities and equipment, the result is a forest for the trees, duplication of efforts.
Therefore, to improve the food quality of service enterprises, they must first clarify the
meaning of quality of service, find out the real needs of customers, and then puts
forward countermeasures. From the needs of the customers point of view, put forward to
improve the quality of service means catering enterprises. In this essay, first, it analyzes
the concept about the quality of food and beverage service; following, it discusses the
countermeasure about food and beverage service improvement.

Again, companies want to hire people who are passionate about the job, so you should have a great
answer about why you want the position. (And if you don't? You probably should apply elsewhere.)
First, identify a couple of key factors that make the role a great fit for you (e.g., I love customer
support because I love the constant human interaction and the satisfaction that comes from helping
someone solve a problem"), then share why you love the company (e.g., Ive always been passionate
about education, and I think you guys are doing great things, so I want to be a part of it)
2. What have you learned from mistakes on the waiter and waitress job?
Candidates without specific examples often do not seem credible. However, the example shared
should be fairly inconsequential, unintentional, and a learned lesson should be gleaned from it.
Moving ahead without group assistance while assigned to a group project meant to be collaborative is
a good example.
3. What challenges are you looking for in this waiter and waitress position?
A typical interview question to determine what you are looking for your in next job, and whether you
would be a good fit for the position being hired for, is "What challenges are you looking for in a
position?" The best way to answer questions about the challenges you are seeking is to discuss how
you would like to be able to effectively utilize your skills and experience if you were hired for the job.
You can also mention that you are motivated by challenges, have the ability to effectively meet
challenges, and have the flexibility and skills necessary to handle a challenging job.

Dear Ms. Jones:

Ah, business letter format-there are block formats, and indented formats, and modified block formats . . . and who knows what others. To simplify
matters, we're demonstrating the block format on this page, one of the two most common formats. For authoritative advice about all the variations, we
highly recommend The Gregg Reference Manual, 9th ed. (New York: McGraw-Hill, 2001), a great reference tool for workplace communications. There
seems to be no consensus about such fine points as whether to skip a line after your return address and before the date: some guidelines suggest that
you do; others do not. Let's hope that your business letter succeeds no matter which choice you make!

When you use the block form to write a business letter, all the information is typed flush left, with one-inch margins all around. First provide your own
address, then skip a line and provide the date, then skip one more line and provide the inside address of the party to whom the letter is addressed. If
you are using letterhead that already provides your address, do not retype that information; just begin with the date. For formal letters, avoid
abbreviations where possible.

Skip another line before the salutation, which should be followed by a colon. Then write the body of your letter as illustrated here, with no indentation
at the beginnings of paragraphs. Skip lines between paragraphs.

After writing the body of the letter, type the closing, followed by a comma, leave 3 blank lines, then type your name and title (if applicable), all flush
left. Sign the letter in the blank space above your typed name. Now doesn't that look professional?
