advantages of ductile iron pipe jacking products in construction process,
foreign countries have largely applied the products, but that is the first

The successful development of this new product and technology fills the
blank of domestic ductile iron pipe jacking, which will play a very good
demonstration effect on opening up new areas of Xinxing ductile iron

Line and Grade; The pipes shall be jacked into place
true to line and level. The maximum tolerance
allowable in the displacement of the centerline of the
jacked pipe from the design centerline

is 75 mm in the horizontal plane

and 25 mm in the vertical plane but there
shall be no

1 Dec JKR Pipe Jacking

122

13-21 Long distance curve jakcing

Accuracy of jakcing ( workmanship ) more so
important fro this case
Always avoid sudden changes in direction and
in point loading the outer edges of the pipe ,
tightness of the drive is to be maintained.
Changes in direction cause more resistance to
the movement of the machine and all the
following pipes that in turn require greater
hydraulic forces to overcome the increased
friction.
1 Dec JKR Pipe Jacking

123

Long/curve jakcing
long distance or curved pipe jacking in the
supply of the guidance information to the
machine operator.
This is the positioning of the laser reference in a
stable position once the machine has
advanced to a point where the laser beam can
no longer activate the Target from the start
shaft.
At this point the laser reference most be
positioned within the moving pipe. As soon as
the laser reference is no longer in a stable
position it is necessary to accommodate this
fact. Use gyro

Long curve jakcing

4. Control surveys shall be taken in static
situations. This absolute measurement shall
be applied to the guidance of the machine in
the dynamic situation where the hydraulic
forces
used and varying geological conditions cause
short-term anomalies in the position of the
elements of the pipeline and components
within it.
