WHAT IS ANXIETY DISORDER?

Anxiety disorder is a medical condi0on
characterised by persistent, excessive
worry. Anxiety disorders can take
anumber of forms. Common to all of these
is an anxiety so distressing, it can interfere
with a person's ability to carry out or take
pleasure in day-to-day life

CAUSES OF ANXIETY
Common causes of anxiety include these mental condi0ons:
Panic disorder: In addi0on to anxiety, common symptoms of panic
disorders are palpita0ons (feeling your heart beat), dizziness, and
shortness of breath. These same symptoms also can be caused by
coee (caeine), amphetamines ("speed" is the street slang for
amphetamines when they are not prescribed by a doctor), an
overac0ve thyroid, abnormal heart rhythms, and other heart
abnormali0es (such as mitral valve prolapse)
Generalized anxiety disorder
Phobic disorders
