INTRODUCTION

When someone think of making films, most would think about how exciting this job could
be, or perhaps how boring it could be for some people. However, just like doing everything else
in this world, health and safety definitely play a major role as well in this job. Its not just an allfun sort of work. In the meantime, in order to understand about health and safety in this field of
work, it is important to consider the safety of both the people who participated in the project as
well as with the asset and other items that they owned or used during the time they were
working. Therefore, in this report, I would like to take the opportunity in here to talk about health
and safety in a film productions work based on my observations from a rehearsal session from
which I was given the chance to attend to.
For the purpose of writing this report, I, along with my best friend, were given the task of
attending the rehearsal session of the variety show, Mentor Milenia, which was made to search
a new young talent in singing. The producer of Mentor Milenia is . The rehearsal session of this
variety show as a whole took about two day before the live show. That show was held at Sri
Pentas 2, Plaza Alam Sentral, Shah Alam, Selangor. Now that I had given some introductory
descriptions of the rehearsal session that I manage to attend to, it would be easier for me to talk
about how different part of jobs in production require safety procedures by using my
observations from these two days of rehearsal sessions as the main set of examples for this
discussion.
