Character education in Indonesia is at a cross road. Teacher is essential element in shaping education policy. Currently, the government have ready tried the new curriculum to instilling character for all students of Indonesia. On the other hand, there is no body perfect in working as well, redefining curriculum needed to change humans character. Further, teaching by character behave like a ghost in indonesia, particularly, teachers got seriously problem in applying character in EFL classroom.
