2016. <http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=112082796>.
This article was made 40 years after the bed-ins took place. It informs us of why the couple were
protesting and why they did it the way they did. This article lets us know that this couple
decided to take advantage of their celebrity spotlight to protest the Cold war and the
Vietnam War while on their Honeymoon. It also gives us insight into the the people that
visited John and Yoko during the Bed-in.

This article includes why they chose to do a bed-in. John and Yoko claim that they wanted to do a
bed-in due their protest against all the suffering and violence in the world. At this time
it was the peak of the Vietnam War and the Cold War, so they wanted to invoke protest.
They wanted to use the spotlight to get others to protest the wars and fight for peace.

In this article, Archer talks about the importance of the bed-ins in History. Archer lets us know that
John Lennon and Yoko Ono did this to try and turn all the negative attention they had
gotten into a positive one. Ono was targeted as the source for the reason The Beatles
broke up and John was in hot water at the moment in the public eye.

This source introduces me to the debate if John influenced the world more in activism than
he did in music. It also tells me the perspective of a young girl who was able to witness The Bed in
for Peace to write about it in the school newspaper.
