CONTENT OF THE SOIL INVESTIGATION REPORT

1. 5 bore hole should be opened according to the attached layout plan.

2. Minimum bore hole depth should be 25m (from seafloor) . The boring should not be ended
until a stiff layer (Standart Penetration Test (SPT) blow count (N)>30) is reached. Boring
should be continiued minimum 5m in this stiff layer.
3. Standart penetration test should be accoplished in every soil layer (1.5m interval) and
samples should be obatained from each layer.
4. Shelby tube should be used during sampling in cohesive soils.

Laboratuary test:
Moisture Content tests
Alterberg Limit Tests
Granulometry Test
Triaxial tests (Unconsolidated-undrained (uu))
Triaxial tests (Consolidated-undrained (cu)) (If cohesive layers exists)
Consolidation (Odeometer) Tests (If cohesive layers exists)
Permeability Tests (If cohesive layers exists)

Nessesary soil parameters:

Geology of the region,
Seismicity of the region
Standart Penetration Test results for each layer
Recomendation for excavation stability
Bearing capacity of the soil layers and modulus of subgrade reaction.
Unit weight, angle of internal firiction, cohesion and elasticity modulus of each soil
layer
If cohesive layers exists, consolidation and permability test results should be
presented in order to calculate the consolidation settlment
