a) Produce Fig. 1.2.1 of the main text for N=4. Evaluate the corresponding probabilities
for m in terms of p and q, their values for p = q = ,
and the quantity (p+q)4 without using Eq. (1.2.7).
b) Random-walk problem: evaluate explicitly the averages of n2, m= n1- n2, and m2.
You can take for granted the texts averages of n1 and n12
c) Problems 1.9 and 1.22 of the text.

Graduate students: You have to do problem 1.10 as well.
