Product Overview
Model FCA2012-U1 from Siemens Fire
Safety is a L1 license key used as a means for
accessing a real-time view of current system status
between a Cerberus PRO 252 / 504-point
addressable FACP and the laptop of the end-user.
Additionally, the L1 license key makes it possible
for the end-user to virtually perform basic or vital
system functions in the same precise manner as if
the end-user was essentially present at the in-
event-mode FACP.
A four-digit personal identification number (PIN) is
required in order to prevent unauthorized access to
the control operations of the aforementioned
Cerberus PRO FACP, respectively.
Model FCA2012-U1 fits into a diminutive metal
hasp attached to the back end of a Siemens fire-
system operating unit:
Standard Operating Unit => Model FCM2018-U3
Operating Unit with LED => Model FCM2019-U3
The L1 license key (Model FCA2012-U1) is FM
(#3010); CSFM (#7165-0067:0264) and FDNY
(#6104) Approved.

System-status conditions, such as: Power, Alarm,
Trouble, Supervisory and Ground-Fault, are vividly
displayed on the end users PC monitor, via simulated,
in-sync graphics from the front-end liquid-crystal
display (LCD) screen of the active FACP.
The remote display of the panels front-end LCD
screen populates in real time on the laptop PC from
the Cerberus View tab of the custom-configuration
software tool or from the Cerberus View
standalone tool.
The dimensions for each Model FCA2012-U1 L1
license key are as follows:
Approximate size: 0.2 (0.51 cm.) [H];
0.63 (1.6 cm.) [W]
The weight of each L1 key is about 5 oz. [142 g].
Temperature and Humidity Range
Model FCA2012-U1 is UL 864 9th Edition Listed for
indoor dry locations within a temperature range of
120 +/- 3F (49 +/- 2C) to 32 +/- 3F (0 +/- 2C) and a
relative humidity of 93 +/- 2% at a temperature of
90 +/- 3F (32+/- 2C).

Installation position: The inscription is at the bottom on the

printed circuit board;
the wider, flat side is at the top on the
clamp.

Raise the clamp of the retainer , and slide the L1 license key,
Model FCA2012-U1 underneath the clamp.
