Reverse Water Displacement Method

I. Introduction
Volume is a measure of the amount of space an object takes up. When a
cylinder is submerged in the water it pushes water out of the way. If you measure the
amount the water level increases, you can find the volume of the water pushed out of
the way.

II. Objective
To reverse the water displacement method.

Candle Glass Bottle Match/Lighter Water Curve
Plate
1. Light the candle with the match or lighter and put it in the center of the face up
curved plate.
2. Fill the curved plate with water.
3. Cover the candle with the glass bottle.
4. Observe.
