I am currently enrolled in my final year of college to earn my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, with a minor in Sociology. I have earned my spot on the Deans list every semester since being enrolled at Ashford University, as well as earning my spot in the honors society for adult learners in continuing higher education. I have also had the honor to duly be elected and inducted to membership in Alpha Lamba Chapter at Ashford University, because of the high expectations I set for myself. I have created a number of lesson plans for children with special needs, such as sensory issues, autism and more. I am also very organized and a team player, I am excited, and dedicated to educate our youth. I have five children, one with a seizure disorder who did not attend a Pre- school/Head-start program, however, he was prepared for Kindergarten. I taught all five of my children at home, and they all continue to excel to this day. Through research and the love of teaching, I made sure I had activities to strengthen their cognitive, physical, social/emotional, and language developments. I am patient and very creative with inventing fun, and exciting new ways to learn required concepts. I believe my experience with children and my educational background and love of teaching will only make me a better educator and role model for my future students.
