This document provides instructions for a game called "Chase the Tails" where pupils are paired up and put into two boxes, with one or two catchers trying to tag the pupils without bibs by removing their bibs within a one minute period. The box with the least pupils left wins for that catcher. Progressions include adding a ball to pass or increasing the size of the play area, while regressions involve more taggers or decreasing the area size.

Pair pupils up. Then ask them to order themselves 1 and 2. 1s stay and 2s enter the other box. Put one pupil (or two depending on the group size) as a catcher with their bib on. Other pupils put the bib in their shorts. When a pupil is caught they move over to the other box. After one minute, count the pupils in each box. The box with the least pupils means that catcher wins. Swap catchers. Pupils can be given different colour bibs, which have no relevance here but can have them ready for the core tasks if teams and bibs are needed.
Progressions:
Include a ball to pass around as they are running
Increase the size of the area. Progress from a touch tackle, to a wrap tackle with no force. Regression:
