Sub: Preparation of drainage plan for the Kalinganagar Industrial Complex at

Duburi, Dist-Jajpur, Odisha--Reg.

Ref: Your letter no: JCDL/165/2011/2536/dated 10.1.2013.

Sir,

Kindly refer to your letter cited above regarding submission of Draft DPR. In this
connection, kindly refer to our discussions is held in your chamber on 8.02.2013.

It may be appreciated that an important consideration in designing the storm water

drainage system is the proper dove-tailing of the existing system in the overall planning
and maintenance.

As such, there should be proper blend of planning, designing and operation of

drainage networks for water supply, drainage, sewerage, land use planning,
transportation, open space regulations and programme etc.

In the above context, Plant Authorities were approached to supply necessary

drawings to the consultant showing outlets of existing internal drainage system of all the
individual plant, their alignment etc. to study the feasibility of using them in the overall
planning for storm water drainage system of Kalinganagar Industrial Complex.

Out of ten such existing plants, no such feedback has so far been received from
the following Plant Authorities in spite of time to time interactions.
1. MISL (Mid East Integrated Steel Limited)
2. Yasdin Steel and Power Limited (originally Dinabandhu Steel and Power
Limited)
3. Rohit Ferro Tech Limited ( SKP Group)
4. Nilachal Ispat Nigam Limited.
Moreover, L/S and C/S of existing Ganda Nullah could not be taken and
continued for its entire operative length due to local disturbances/ agitations at the sites at
the time of actual survey. Due to above shortfall and all other practical reasons,
submission of Draft DPR could not be made in time.

Hope you will appreciate the difficulties and extend your co-operation in getting
necessary drawings from the above Plant Authorities and to overcome the constraints
faced during the survey of Ganda Nullah, so that the Draft DPR may be submitted by the
end of March 2013, on receipt of above data.

Thanking you.

Yours truly,

(R. D. Rao)
