General notes
There are many ways to live stream on RINGS LIVE platform.
- Go live with RINGS LIVE Mobile app
- Go live with any video camera with HDMI output + RiBox (a box that transcode
the video format to h.264 and then direct steam the video to RINGS LIVE cloud
server)
- GO live from PC with Open Broadcast software
The most easy and direct way to live stream for the World Speech Day event is via
Go Live with RINGS LIVE Mobile app

Registration for WSD 2017

For RINGS LIVE, only authorized account is allow to perform live streaming. So after
installed RINGS LIVE and registered with a social media account (suggest to use
Gmail), please go to

qHARfcD9MTs/edit?usp=sharing to input the information required in order for RINGS
LIVE team to enable your account for live streaming.
Registration will be closed on 28 Feb 2017

Go live with RINGS LIVE Mobile app

What required are:
- Any smartphone with high quality camera suggest to use iPhone or any
Android device with OS 6 and above
- microphone/ headset
- Tripod
- Smartphone holder from selfie stick
- RINGS LIVE mobile app ** Download RINGS LIVE app from http://RINGS
LIVE/download
- Stable Internet connection (recommended: 1.5Mbps)
One lesson learned in WSD2016 is to have a proper video title for all video so that
user will able to find all videos related to World Speech Day 2017 by search the
keyword.
Everyone to start the video title with WSD_<2 letter Country Code>_<Title>
* for 2 letter country code, please refer to Appendix 2 Letter country codes
Remember to get your friends/supports to install RINGS LIVE and then follow the
World speech Day official channel (Channel name: WSD TV) so that in future
whenever there is any event related to WSD, the followers will able to push
notifications

Step 1: Click on Menu

Tutorial 2 How to change User Profile Image

Step 1: Click on Menu

Step 2: Click on avatar
Step 3: Click on avatar to update profile image
Tutorial 3 Go Live

Step 1: Tap on Menu icon (top left)

Step 2: Tap on Go Live button (Yellow button)
Step 3: for the first time, Community guidelines window will pop-up. Tap on Proceed
button
Step 4: Input video title and then tap on Start Broadcast.

Notes:
Suggest to connect to a stable WiFi when you go live with your smartphone.
Give a proper title for every go live session. For WSD, please use the
following format
WSD_<2 letter CountryCode>_<Title>
If you want to go live in landscape view, please rotate your smartphone to
landscape view before tap on Start broadcast.
Keep the same orientation always. Do not rotate your smartphone during
broadcasting
To prevent interruption, suggest to enable airplane mode so that during
broadcasting, you will not interrupt by any phone call or SMS.
 For better sound quality, connect headset to your smartphone
Keep the phone stable by using the tripod + selfie holder
Tutorial 4 Follow a Channel

Step 1: Tap on Search icon (top right)

Step 2: Input Channel name and Tap on Search
For WSD TV channel, please input WSD
Step 3: Toggle to Channels tab, and tap the Follow button for WSD TV Channel
Tutorial 5 Share a Video

Step 1: on any tabs, tap on any video that you would like to share
Step 2: On the pop-up windows, select any social platform
