    Read the information in the box. Then complete the writing activity.

    Snow Day
    A foot of snow just fell and a student doesn’t have to go to school. Who is the student?
    What does the student do for the day? What makes the day exciting for the student?
    Write an story about the student’s snow day. Be sure to include details. Tell the name of
    the student, what the student does during the day, and how the snow day is exciting for
    the student.

    Prewriting Activity
    • Here are some questions to help you think about your story:
