47 - Used to do

Elizabeth : I used to party a lot. Really. Er, I used to go out a lot.


Interviewer : And you don't any more?
Elizabeth : No. Motherly duties.

Interviewer : What does your dad do?


Pamela : Er, my dad's retired, but he used to be a commercial traveller for a hardware
company.

Interviewer : What's your best dish?


Andrew : Well, I, I don't cook a lot. Er, er, I used to make a nice tuna lasagna.

Interviewer : Do you often eat out?


Billie : We used to. We don't at the moment.

Interviewer : Do you think you're a quiet or talkative person?


Courtney : Well, I used to be quiet, but now I'm talkative.

Jennifer : I used to be really quiet.


Interviewer : But, but...
Jennifer : But now I talk a lot.

Interviewer : Can you play any musical instruments?


Ingrid : I used to play the flute. Not any more.

Interviewer : Can you play any musical instruments?


Karina : I used to play piano.

Richard : And I used to play the guitar, but I don't any more.

Interviewer : A programmer?
Mike : I used to be a programmer. But I do, um, customer support now, and installations.

Interviewer : Well, I used to play a lot of baseball.


Neil : But you don't do that any more?
Interviewer : Not as much as I used to.

Sue : I used to have short hair, and I don't any more.

Robin : Er, I used not to cook. But now I do. Ha! ha!

Rebecca : Er, I used to smoke pot, but I don't do that any more.

Mia : Um, I used to be a tomboy. I used to fight with little boys.


Patricia : I used to teach English as a foreign language. Many years ago.
Interviewer : That's what he's doing.
Patricia : Yes. Hi!
