PT.Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) strives to improve its governance of

infrastructure facilities in order to improve guide services and delays aquatic
environment must scout ship. One way to improve the service delay is to consider
the feasibility of ship boat tugboat condition itself. One is the feasibility of an
electric distribution system ship tugboat, the factors to be considered as sectional
area of the conducting wires, and safety capacity.
the field project focuses on the study case of selection protection capacity,
cable cross-sectional area and voltage drop. selection protection capacity and
cable cross-sectional area determined by the magnitude of the nominal current
value of the load and adapted to the classification rules used in the Bima 324
tugboat, namely the Biro klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI). To obtain the nominal load
current measurements performed directly on the bima 324 tugboat and the
calculation of the data specification of the load on the bima 324 tugboat, the
results of measurements and calculations as compared to the capacity of safety
and cross-sectional area of the most appropriate delivery cable. As for the
calculation of the voltage drop compared with BKI regulations 2006, which is not
more than 6%.
The results of the nominal current ratio, current in the calculation is
greater than the measurement results, the nominal current in the largest
calculation is 241.52 A and the smallest is 16.85 A. As for the nominal current on
the largest measurement is 188.91 A and the smallest is 9.43 A. From the
calculation results obtained voltage drop the largest is 4.57%. While the loss of
the smallest voltage drop is 0.05%. According to the results measurements of the
largest voltage drop is 2.59%. While the smallest voltage is 0.06%.

Keywords : circuit breaker capacity, capacity-sectional area of the conducting

wires, voltage drop, tugboat, electrical distribution system.
