Acrylic is the most radiolucent

Bright radiopaque= metals --> amalgam, gold and RPD frame works
To determine, use size, location due to some restorative materials are
inbetween radiolucent and radiopaque

Acrylic with 2 rot wires, practicl=ally invisible

Withour rot wires, you wouldnt know acrylic would be there

Titanium: almost all surgical metal, radiopaque but not as much as amalgam
Amalgam- most radiopaque even in the smallest amount, and use locataion to
determine
Compostites are radiopaque but not as much as amalgam
Implant = titanim, base metal, and porcelain overlay
Porcelain is faintly radiopaque
Visibility of porcelain depends on thickness of the porcelain from buccal to
lingual

Porcelain metal crown

Better metal = completely radiopaque, cheaper metal= less radiopaque kind
of see through

Ceramic onlay with cement

-> cements are almost always radiopaque

Base or liner underneath amalgam, radiopaque but radiolucnet than amalgam

-> sealant looks like composite, but shallow in depth

Cermaic onlays and full crowns

Pins = stainless steel, middle grade radiopacity

Old composites used to be radiolucent, but now it is radiopaque and to tell apart
old compostite and caries is to clinically find them.

Gold looks like amalgam except smoothness of the margins -> gold more smooth

Radiolucent gutta perch= has to do with thickness

Silver point (old endo techniques) very much radiopaque comapred to gutta
percha
