Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit
Support to patients, nurses, and physicians in the intensive care
setting. Skills include basic orderly tasks to more skilled tasks.
Specific skills include phlebotomy, IV starts, sterile lab cultures, 12-
lead ECGs, setting room for aseptic procedures, and assisting, as
needed, with bedside procedures, and other tasked as delegated by
the Registered Nurse.

Richmond International Raceway (2003 present) Chaplain
Coordinator for Richmond International Raceway. Provide emergency
and crisis ministry for families facing illness, domestic abuse, traumatic
injuries, and death. Chaplains work closely with the Emergency
Communication Dispatch and the Medical Care Centers around the
track to provide spiritual, emotional, and logistical support.

Childrens Hospital, Richmond, VA (2003 2005) Student chaplain.


Primary role was ministering to patients and the families of patients in
the Rehabilitation Unit of the hospital. Active role in interdisciplinary
rounds and family consultations. Also, assisted with family support
dinners and sibling support groups for the long-term care families.

National Fellowship of Raceway Ministries (2001 present)


Participate in chaplain training courses focusing on crisis ministry at
large venue and small venue racetracks. Volunteer with Central Virginia
Baptist Ministries to help organize and implement ministry and
outreach activities at Richmond International Raceway for NASCAR and
Indy race weekends. Volunteer with the Henry County Baptist
Association at Martinsville Speedway and assisted with their Bring a
Kid Day, an outreach to children and their parents during the race
weekend.
AWARDS
Addie Davis Award for Leadership in Pastoral Care June 21, 2006
National award given by the Baptist Women in Ministry to a seminarian
that exhibits exceptional pastoral care and leadership skills in the
seminary and community settings. This award was presented at the
Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Annual Convention in Atlanta, GA.
